Rachel Ridout

She is a native English speaking educator, linguist and musician with over 10 years
teaching experience.
Born in Surrey, UK, Rachel moved to London at the age of 18 to study music at the
prestigious Royal College of Music in South Kensington, gaining a Bachelor of Music degree with 1st class honours in 2010. She then went on to complete a Master Of Arts degree at the Royal Academy of Music (also in London), which she passed with distinction in 2011.
Having already studied French and German to A level before starting her undergraduate degree, Rachel continued to use her linguistic skills during the following 12 years she spent in the music industry – teaching and performing in various locations in the UK, Europe and beyond. During this time, Rachel further developed her love for travel, languages and education, and decided to pursue a more varied career path that would allow her more time to invest in developing her language and business skills further.
Today, Rachel speaks English (native), Portuguese, French and German. She travels to Brazil and mainland Europe regularly and very much enjoys the flexibility conversing with others in their native languages offers. Rachel remains passionate about education, working in a further education establishment in London and for Top Admissions as English language consultant.
